All heats will be 15 min. except finals, which are 20 min. The two best waves count toward advancement. 10 wave max., except finals, which are 13-wave max. All waves will be judged on a scale from .5 – 10 points, according to wave selection, style, and difficulty of maneuvers.

Each surfer is responsible to check in 5 minutes prior to their heat or may be replaced by an alternate. No refunds for surfers who miss their scheduled heat. All beach entries will be considered alternates until they are officially placed in a heat. Alternates are placed on a first come first served basis.

Early bird registration ends at 4pm the Thursday before the event.
